Our Work in the News

New York Public Library "Why We Fight: Remembering AIDS Activism" and "Special One-Day Exhibit of GMHC Records September 22nd"

We digitized over 400 U-matic video tapes that were part of the Gay Men's Health Crisis (GMHC) collection. These videos contained footage of founders and early members of the organization and provide a rich resource for the study of AIDS activism in America.

Barrett, Brian "Q&A: Talking with IBM's Personal History Keeper"., New York, NY, June 16 2011.

This article is a Q&A with IBM's Corporate Archivist, Paul Lasewicz. George Blood Audio and Video worked with Paul to digitize various video formats for IBM's centennial celebration:

Boston Symphony Orchestra "Boston Symphony Orchestra: Charles Munch". International Classical Artists, London, UK, 2011.
Boston Symphony Orchestra: Brahms, Symphonies 1 and 2
Boston Symphony Orchestra: Wagner, Franck, and Faure

We recently completed digitization of various audio and video formats for the Boston Symphony Orchestra. The work we completed for the video collection is currently available for access! The links above will take you to the International Classical Artists catalog for two DVDs of the Boston Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Charles Munch. Once on the site, click the 'Multimedia' tab to view clips from these two DVDs.
