Film Preservation

Demand for George Blood LP to digitize motion picture film has been especially strong. We recently added a second Spirit 2K HD/SD/2K Telecine. When quality reproduction and preservation is foremost, we’re there to serve your collections.

Our transfer engineers are trained in inspecting, splicing, and transferring 35mm, 16mm, 8mm, Super 16 and Super 8 film. Our colorist has over 20 years of experience in Hollywood. The digitized film then passes through our standard digital workflow, including checksum creation, metadata harvesting, and quality assurance.

We also have methods of physical intervention to re-plasticize and re-splice damaged films to the point where they can be reformatted with the best possible quality.
